Choose your shop's own local texting number by area code when you set up. It's yours alone. Tintify sends review requests, appointment reminders and confirmations, invoice links, proposals (text and email) and maintenance reminders from it, and two-way conversations with customers live in a built-in Conversations inbox. Calling isn't available yet, but you can forward calls to that number to your phone.
